2022 Masters Club 35th Anniversary Loonie $1 Renewed Silver Dollar Coin #8

The Canadian one-dollar coin, colloquially known as the “Loonie”, was first introduced in 1987. The coin was designed by artist and engraver Robert-Ralph Carmichael, and featured a common loon swimming on the reverse side. The Loonie quickly became a favourite among Canadians, and in 1997, the Royal Canadian Mint released a special 10th anniversary edition of the coin. The anniversary coin was minted in sterling silver, and featured a larger format than the original Loonie.
